Crisis Averted!!

http://www.boston.com/blogs/ae/restaurants/the-restaurant-hub/2014/01/south-end-delux-cafe-closing.html

I can sleep at night now.

One of a Kind?

Trekked out to Allston to eat at One of the Kind, which is located in the Super 88 food court. The Szechuan food there surprisingly lived up to my insanely high expectations. It was made to order, fresh and spicy. It was so worth freezing my face off to go out there, and I already know what I will order next time (but suggestions appreciated).

spicy flavored chicken and stir fried spicy pepper (notice a theme?)

RIP

Delux Cafe.

Too soon to take it off my Top 5.

Gaslight

Gaslight is one now on my short list of acceptably delicious brunch restaurants in Boston.

croque madame: Tasso ham, gruyere, bechamel, fried egg

poached eggs vigneronne: red wine sauce, ham, and mushrooms

crepes parisenne: smoked ham, compte cheese, sunny up egg, and mornay sauce

Never enough skewers at WoW Barbecue.

Ali Baba

I would have never known that Ali Baba opened up a few blocks away from my apartment without my insane internet food stalking skills. They don't have a website, or even a sign on the door! At least one that is easily visible. Very confusing, and probably not great for business. Their food was solid, and this will probably become one of my delivery regulars.
