Snagged a couple seats at the bar tonight for the 3 for $30 menu at
Ribelle. We ate veal tongue, octopus, and tripe, among other more familiar ingredients, and I loved all of it. The individual components were great, but when you took a bite with a little of everything it was fantastic. Lots of bold flavors and different textures which melded together well. Nothing was tough or chewy, which was not what I expected when I ordered tongue! Every bite was fun, and I couldn't have asked for a better meal. Tim Maslow is my hero.

Remember, you have to request the early bird menu, and it is worth it. Next up tomorrow: first last meal in Philly. Then what I have been waiting for: eating through Asia!
