M+C Never Disappoints

Anyone knows I'm obsessed with the food bar at Myers+Chang. Its an experience, and the food is always creative and tasty.

korean bbq sloppy joe stole the show
braised pork belly buns, melts in your mouth

grilled octopus and corn..it doesn't taste like octopus!
chocolate mousse, sesame brittle almost ruined by the tangy tamarind caramel

Eastern Standard

Had a fancy date at Eastern Standard :)

guess the price
pepper-crusted mahi mahi, beef cheek, swiss chard, beet jus
yuzu semifreddo, white chocolate, tarragon

Last but not least

Mcdonalds McSpicy with chili sauce.

My biggest regret is not grabbing photos of more than half the food I ate on this trip! Including incredible Indian Chinese at Manchurian Cafe, the best Thai food ever in KL right under the Petronas Twin Towers, lots of mochi and green tea lattes in the endless food courts of the endless malls in Singapore, and of course Nina's nachos (plus nachos and beer at Brewerks with Shaunak). I will never eat durian or Chinese carrot cake again (had enough for a lifetime).

Last Meal in Philly..Before Vacation!

I love Sabrina's..that is all there is left to say.

Boarding my flight now...get excited for dumplings very soon!

Bufad

I had a lot of fun visiting Philly a couple nights ago. We decided to start off the night at Bufad, a neopolitan style pizzeria and BYOB. Luckily, one of us had been here before, so we didn't look like total amateurs. Who's ever heard of burrata anyway?

not just any cheese...the best cheese I never had before

weak apology after the meat spillage onto the veggie half

ricotta licorice cake
thank you to  arpan's anonymous friend for the delicious homemade wine (must have been right bank)

First Last Meal in Boston: Ribelle

Snagged a couple seats at the bar tonight for the 3 for $30 menu at Ribelle. We ate veal tongue, octopus, and tripe, among other more familiar ingredients, and I loved all of it. The individual components were great, but when you took a bite with a little of everything it was fantastic. Lots of bold flavors and different textures which melded together well. Nothing was tough or chewy, which was not what I expected when I ordered tongue! Every bite was fun, and I couldn't have asked for a better meal. Tim Maslow is my hero.

kohlrabi, veal tongue, green beans, garlic confit (crazy good)
papardelle, bolognese, kale, chicken skin
olive oil ice cream, chocolate shell (still obsessing)

Remember, you have to request the early bird menu, and it is worth it. Next up tomorrow: first last meal in Philly. Then what I have been waiting for: eating through Asia!
