First Last Meal in Boston: Ribelle

Snagged a couple seats at the bar tonight for the 3 for $30 menu at Ribelle. We ate veal tongue, octopus, and tripe, among other more familiar ingredients, and I loved all of it. The individual components were great, but when you took a bite with a little of everything it was fantastic. Lots of bold flavors and different textures which melded together well. Nothing was tough or chewy, which was not what I expected when I ordered tongue! Every bite was fun, and I couldn't have asked for a better meal. Tim Maslow is my hero.

kohlrabi, veal tongue, green beans, garlic confit (crazy good)
papardelle, bolognese, kale, chicken skin
olive oil ice cream, chocolate shell (still obsessing)

Remember, you have to request the early bird menu, and it is worth it. Next up tomorrow: first last meal in Philly. Then what I have been waiting for: eating through Asia!
