Metropolis Cafe- Brunch

This will be a short one about Metropolis Cafe. No pictures to share because I forgot my camera and my co-diners were very uncooperative. I got the southern style grits, which was basically a plate of sides: grits, 2 over easy eggs, chorizo, and toast. I have to say I was pretty nervous ordering grits at a restaurant not in the south but I actually enjoyed them thoroughly. Grits are one of those foods that once you've tried the best, nothing can compare (Low Country Backyard in Hilton Head comes to mind). I'm wondering, should that change what I order when I go out to eat? I'm usually more likely to order a dish that I've had and loved before rather than try something new, which I think is a flawed approach to eating. Its something I'm trying to change. Why try to relive a past experience when there's so much out there to try?
